Changes to a regular picture using GIMP

Below is the original picture of a lotus flower.



Using GIMP, this is an example of what you can turn this flower in to:



If you look closely, you will notice that the edges of the flower are "burnt" or darker. Also, the flower itself is sharpened (this makes it stand out more) and obviously the backround was removed and replaced with a background of stars.

For your second thats not bad at all, you seem to know alot about the tools,
Which is good but learn about Flow, Effects, Depth and lighting.

Thanks, That one took me much longer than my other one because of the details like the burning, bluring, and the painting with the different brushes.

my photoshop isn't working
( CS2)

now i need to work with photodraw

at photoshop u rly need alot brushes
i have more then 200
and im still downloading like 30 brushes a day
